Calvin Demba

Calvin Demba is an English actor, writer, and director. He was born in Stepney, East London in 1993 and grew up in Bethnal Green. Demba is of Gambian, African-American, and Scottish descent. He attended The Half Moon youth theatre in Limehouse from the age of 17 before signing with an acting agency in Hoxton. In 2011, he gained recognition for his role as Scott Sabeka in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, appearing in 82 episodes. Demba made his theatrical debut in 2013 in the play Routes at the Royal Court Theatre in London. From 2013 to 2014, he played Jay in the E4 comedy-drama series Youngers.
