Calvin Hughes is an American news anchor currently working for WPLG Local 10 in Miami, Florida. He joined the station in late 2006 after working at KYW-TV in Philadelphia as a weekend anchor and weekday night side reporter. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Hughes has also worked in Atlanta, Dallas, Lexington, and Evansville as an anchor and reporter. He began his career at 19, reporting for the local radio station KBIA while attending the University of Missouri. Hughes has covered various national stories, including the Live 8 Concert and the Amish schoolhouse shootings. Born in Cleveland, he also spent several years in East St. Louis, Illinois.
