Dexter Cast

Michael C. Hall portrays the lead character, Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter analyst by day, working for the Miami Metro Police Department, and a secret serial killer by night. He uses his expertise to hunt down and kill other murderers who evade justice.

Jennifer Carpenter plays Debra Morgan, Dexter's adoptive sister. Debra is a tough and determined detective in the Miami Metro Police Department. Throughout the series, Debra becomes increasingly entangled in Dexter's dark secret.

David Zayas portrays Angel Batista, a detective and Dexter's colleague at the Miami Metro Police Department. Angel is known for his loyalty and dedication to his job, often forming a close bond with his fellow officers.

James Remar plays Harry Morgan, Dexter's adoptive father. Harry, a former police officer, recognizes Dexter's dark tendencies and teaches him how to channel them towards hunting killers who have escaped the justice system.

Luna Lauren Velez portrays Maria LaGuerta, the Captain of Miami Metro Homicide. LaGuerta is a strong-willed and ambitious leader who becomes increasingly suspicious of Dexter's actions.

Julie Benz plays Rita Bennett, Dexter's girlfriend and later wife. Rita is a kind and caring woman who is initially unaware of Dexter's hidden life. Their relationship becomes more complicated as the series progresses.

Desmond Harrington portrays Joey Quinn, a detective at Miami Metro Police Department. Quinn is ambitious and often clashes with his colleagues, including a complicated relationship with Debra Morgan.

C.S. Lee plays Vince Masuka, the Miami Metro Police Department's forensic expert. Masuka is known for his crude sense of humor and his expertise in the field of forensics.
