Daniel Licht

Daniel Licht (March 13, 1957 – August 2, 2017) was an American soundtrack composer and musician. He is best known for composing the score for the Showtime TV drama series Dexter. Licht began his musical career playing guitar in a small jazz ensemble while still in high school. After graduating from Hampshire College, he moved to New York City and established himself in the Lower East Side creative music scene. He also composed music for theatre and dance companies, including Mercedes Benz, Sony, and AT&T. Licht's work took him to various countries in Europe, where he performed and composed for theater and dance. He passed away on August 2, 2017.
