Jeff Lindsay

Jeffry P. Freundlich, better known by his pen name Jeff Lindsay, is an American playwright and crime novelist. Born on July 14, 1952, in Miami, Lindsay is famous for his novels featuring the sociopathic Miami Police Department forensic analyst, Dexter Morgan. He attended Ransom Everglades School and graduated from Middlebury College in 1975. Lindsay often collaborated with his wife, Hilary Hemingway, who is the niece of renowned author Ernest Hemingway. His first Dexter novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, gained recognition and was nominated for the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Awards in the Best First Novel category. Lindsay has also written under other pen names during the 1990s.
