Edward James Olmos Biography
Edward James Olmos is an American actor, producer, and director. He was born on February 13, 1947. Olmos is best known for his role as Lieutenant Martin 'Marty' Castillo in the TV series Miami Vice (1984–1989), where he won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. He also directed and starred in the film American Me (1992). Olmos portrayed William Adama in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009). His notable film roles include Blade Runner (1982), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and Stand and Deliver (1988), for which he received an Academy Award nomination. From 2018 to 2023, he appeared in the FX series Mayans M.C. as the father of two members of an outlaw motorcycle club.
