Jennifer Carpenter Biography
Jennifer Carpenter (born December 7, 1979) is an American actress known for her roles in various television series and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Debra Morgan in the Showtime series Dexter, earning a Saturn Award in 2009. Carpenter also played Rebecca Harris in the CBS television series Limitless. In 2019, she took on the lead role of Erica Shepherd in the NBC drama The Enemy Within. Additionally, Carpenter lent her voice to the character Sonya Blade in the direct-to-video martial arts film Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge (2020) and its sequel Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms (2021). She received her training at the Walden Theatre Conservatory program and the Juilliard School's Drama Division Group 31. Carpenter was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and attended St. Raphael the Archangel and Sacred Heart Academy.
