Denise Crosby

Denise Michelle Crosby (born November 24, 1957) is an American actress and model. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Security Chief Tasha Yar in season one of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and later as Yar's daughter, Commander Sela. Crosby has appeared in numerous film and television roles, and is known for her work on the film Trekkies, which she also produced. She was born in Hollywood, California to Marilyn Scott and actor Dennis Crosby. Her grandfather is the renowned singer and actor Bing Crosby. Despite being born out of wedlock, Crosby's mother won a highly publicized lawsuit against her father for child support. Crosby never had the chance to meet her grandfather Bing Crosby.
