Wilmer Calderon

Wilmer Calderon (born May 8, 1975) is a Puerto Rican actor known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as Diego in the Amazon Prime television series Borderline, Detective Daniel Arias in the police drama series Bosch, and Ricky in the FX drama series The Shield. Calderon was born in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Brandon, Florida with his parents at the age of 2. He learned English by watching episodes of Sesame Street while his parents taught him Spanish at home. Calderon's passion for acting began to develop during his time at Marshall University. He made his film debut in 1995 with Dead Man Walking and transitioned to television in 1996.
