Vanessa Marano is an American actress born on October 31, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. She started her acting career at the age of seven and has since appeared in numerous television movies and series. Marano has had recurring roles in popular shows like Without a Trace, Gilmore Girls, Ghost Whisperer, Scoundrels, Grey's Anatomy, and The Young and the Restless. From 2011 to 2017, she starred as Bay Kennish in the Freeform series Switched at Birth. Vanessa Marano comes from a family involved in show business, with her mother being the owner of the Agoura Children's Theatre and her younger sister, Laura Marano, also being an actress. Marano is of Italian descent and speaks Italian fluently.
