Kate Moennig

Katherine Sian Moennig (born December 29, 1977) is an American actress known for her roles in various television shows. She gained popularity for her portrayal of Shane McCutcheon on the series The L Word (2004–2009) and Jake Pratt on Young Americans (2000). Moennig also appeared as Lena in the Showtime series Ray Donovan from 2013 to 2019. In addition, she had a recurring role on Grown-ish as Professor Paige Hewson in seasons 2 and 3. Moennig returned to her iconic role as Shane McCutcheon in The L Word: Generation Q in 2019. She is also the co-host of the podcast PANTS alongside her friend and L Word co-star, Leisha Hailey. Moennig is married to musician Ana Rezende and identifies as a lesbian.
