Camile Velasco

Camile Velasco, also known as Eli-Mac, is a Filipino American singer who gained recognition as a contestant on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series, American Idol. Born on September 1, 1985, in Makati, Philippines, Velasco's family later relocated to Haiku, Maui, Hawaii. Prior to her appearance on American Idol, she worked as a struggling songwriter/composer and also helped out at her parents' IHOP Restaurant in Kahului. Velasco impressed the judges with her audition performance of the chorus and bridge of the Fugees' 'Ready or Not.' She eventually made it to the Top 32 and showcased her talent through various solo and group performances.
