Candice Patton

Candice Patton is an American actress best known for her role as Iris West-Allen in the television series The Flash, which aired from 2014 to 2023. Born and raised in Plano, Texas, Patton attended Southern Methodist University, where she earned a BFA in Theatre. In 2004, she won CBS' Soap Star Screen Test competition, which granted her a role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Patton has also appeared in other television series, including The Bold and the Beautiful. Her portrayal of Iris West in The Flash led to appearances in other Arrowverse shows such as Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. In 2017, she received a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television for her role in The Flash.
