Cara Buono

Cara Buono (born March 1, 1971) is an American actress known for her work in film, television, and stage. She gained recognition for her Emmy-nominated role as Dr. Faye Miller in the popular TV series Mad Men. Buono has also made notable appearances in the horror sci-fi series Stranger Things, where she portrays the character Karen Wheeler since its premiere in 2016. Additionally, she appeared in the sixth season of The Sopranos as Kelli Moltisanti. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York City, Buono comes from a blue-collar family of Italian descent. She began her acting career at the age of 12 in Harvey Fierstein's play Spookhouse and went on to perform in both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Buono has also appeared in several independent films such as Waterland, Chutney Popcorn, and Happy Accidents.
