Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus on October 11, 1992, is an American rapper known for her commercial success in the music industry. Hailing from New York City, she gained popularity through Vine and Instagram before making her mark on the VH1 reality television series Love & Hip Hop: New York from 2015 to early 2017. Cardi B further solidified her presence with the release of her mixtapes Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1 (2016) and Vol. 2 (2017). Her debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy (2018), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first female artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album as a solo artist. With her undeniable talent, Cardi B has become one of the most influential female rappers of her generation.
