Carey Mulligan

Carey Hannah Mulligan (born 28 May 1985) is an English actress known for her diverse roles in film, television, and stage. She made her professional acting debut in the play Forty Winks (2004) at the Royal Court Theatre. Mulligan gained recognition for her supporting role in the romantic drama Pride & Prejudice (2005) and for her appearances in television shows such as Bleak House (2005) and Doctor Who. Her breakthrough role came in the coming-of-age film An Education (2009), where she portrayed a 1960s schoolgirl, earning her a BAFTA Award for Best Actress. Mulligan has received nominations for two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award.
