Carey Hannah Mulligan (born 28 May 1985) is an English actress known for her diverse roles in film, television, and stage. She made her professional acting debut in the play Forty Winks (2004) at the Royal Court Theatre. Mulligan gained recognition for her supporting role in the romantic drama Pride & Prejudice (2005) and for her appearances in television shows such as Bleak House (2005) and Doctor Who.
