Carly Hughes is an American actress and singer, best known for her role in the ABC comedy series 'American Housewife' (2016-2020). Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Columbia, Maryland, Hughes began her career on Broadway, appearing in shows such as 'Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!', 'Ragtime', 'Ghost The Musical', and 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical'. She made her television debut in 2016 with a series-regular role in 'American Housewife', portraying one of the title character's best friends. After four seasons, Hughes left the series due to a toxic work environment. Hughes holds a degree in musical theater from Pennsylvania State University.
