Carmen Duncan Biography
Carmen Joan Duncan (7 July 1942 – 3 February 2019) was an Australian-born stage and screen actress and activist. She had a career that spanned over 50 years, both locally and internationally in the United States. Duncan was nominated for the AFI Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1980 film Harlequin. She also appeared in notable films such as Don't Let It Get You, Touch and Go, and Turkey Shoot. From 1988 to 1994, Duncan portrayed Iris Wheeler in the American soap opera Another World. Throughout her career, she was known for her work in theatre, with numerous roles from 1970 to 2015. Duncan was born in Cooma, New South Wales, and graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney in 1961.
