Carmen Electra, born Tara Leigh Patrick on April 20, 1972, is an American actress, model, singer, and media personality. She started her career as a singer and released her self-titled debut studio album in 1993, produced by Prince. Electra gained fame as a glamour model in Playboy magazine in 1996 and later moved to Los Angeles, where she rose to prominence portraying Lani McKenzie in the action drama series Baywatch from 1997 to 1998. She hosted the MTV dating show Singled Out in 1997 and made her film debut in the comedy horror American Vampire.
