Carmine Caridi Biography
Carmine Caridi (January 23, 1934 – May 28, 2019) was an American film, television, and stage actor. He is best known for his roles in the films The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990). Caridi portrayed Carmine Rosato in The Godfather Part II and Albert Volpe in The Godfather Part III. He is notable for being one of three actors to play two different roles in the Godfather films, alongside Frank Sivero and Sofia Coppola. Caridi became the first person to be expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2004. His career spanned several decades, making him a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
