Carol Leifer

Carol Leifer (born July 27, 1956) is an American comedian, writer, producer, and actress. She gained recognition as a stand-up comedian in the 1970s while in college. Leifer has written for various television shows, including The Larry Sanders Show, Saturday Night Live, and Seinfeld. Her talents have earned her four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her work on The Larry Sanders Show, Seinfeld, and the Academy Awards. Known for her autobiographical and observational style, Leifer often covers subjects such as her Jewish ancestry, coming out, same-sex marriage, relationships, and parenting. She was born in East Williston, New York, and grew up performing for her family and friends in the basement of her childhood home.
