Carol Jean Vorderman (born 24 December 1960) is a Welsh broadcaster, media personality, and author. She gained fame as a co-host on the Channel 4 game show Countdown, where she appeared from 1982 to 2008. Vorderman went on to present various television shows, including Better Homes and The Pride of Britain Awards for ITV. She has also guest-hosted shows like Have I Got News for You, The Sunday Night Project, and Lorraine. From 2011 to 2014, Vorderman was a presenter on the ITV talk show Loose Women. She has participated in reality television shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, and The Great Celebrity Bake Off, winning the latter.
