Carole Baskin

Carole Ann Baskin (née Stairs), born June 6, 1961, is an American animal rights activist and CEO of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary near Tampa, Florida. She gained attention through her role in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King, which documented her ongoing feud with Joe Exotic, a private zoo owner from Oklahoma. Baskin has dedicated herself to raising awareness about the welfare of captive big cats and has been featured in numerous local, national, and international media outlets. While her appearance on Tiger King resulted in online abuse and speculation about her second husband's disappearance, Baskin has denied any involvement. She also gained popularity for her catchphrase, 'Hey all you cool cats and kittens!', which became a meme. Baskin has also made an appearance on the TV show Dancing with the Stars.'
