Carole Cook Biography
Carole Cook (January 14, 1924 – January 11, 2023) was an American actress known for her work on both screen and stage. Born as Mildred Frances Cook in Abilene, Texas, she grew up as one of four children. Cook studied Greek drama at Baylor University and started her career in regional theater after graduating in 1945. In 1954, she made her theatrical debut in New York and caught the attention of Lucille Ball, who invited her to work for Desilu Studios. Cook is best known for her appearances on Lucille Ball's television series, The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. She also had notable film roles in The Incredible Mr. Limpet, American Gigolo, and Sixteen Candles.
