Carolyn Dando is a New Zealand actress and singer, born around 1989 in Auckland. She began her career in the entertainment industry with a passion for music, specifically classical singing. At the age of 10, Dando performed with Suzanne Prentice at a World Vision 'Kids for Kids' Concert, and the following year she impressed audiences with a solo performance at a regional school choir festival. Encouraged by her teachers, Dando pursued her talent and studied classical singing, theory, and piano with professional soprano Gina Sanders. She made her professional acting debut in the made-for-television movie Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America, and later appeared in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of The Lovely Bones (2009).
