Carrie Alexandra Coon (born January 24, 1981) is an American actress known for her roles in both television and film. She gained recognition for her portrayal of grieving mother Nora Durst in the HBO drama series The Leftovers (2014–2017), for which she won a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress. Coon also starred as Gloria Burgle in the third season of the FX anthology series Fargo (2017), earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress. In addition to her television work, Coon has appeared in notable films such as Gone Girl (2014), Widows (2018), The Post (2017), and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). She has also showcased her talent on stage, receiving a Tony Award nomination for her performance in the 2012 revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
