Carrie Hamilton Biography
Carrie Louise Hamilton (December 5, 1963 – January 20, 2002) was an American actress, playwright, and singer. She was the daughter of comedian Carol Burnett and producer Joe Hamilton, and the older sister of actress and producer Jody Hamilton and singer Erin Hamilton. Hamilton had a diverse career in film, stage, television, and video. She gained recognition for her role as Reggie Higgins in the TV series Fame and received acclaim for her portrayal of Maureen Johnson in the first national tour of Rent. Hamilton also appeared in the film Tokyo Pop, where she played an American singer who finds success in Japan. She studied music and acting at Pepperdine University.
