Carrie Snodgress Biography
Caroline Louise Snodgress (October 27, 1945 – April 1, 2004) was an American actress known for her role in the film Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970). She was nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award for this performance and won two Golden Globe Awards and two Laurel Awards. Snodgress was born in Barrington, Illinois and attended Maine Township High School East in Park Ridge. She trained for the stage at the Goodman School of Drama at the Art Institute of Chicago. Her film debut was in Easy Rider (1969), followed by Rabbit, Run (1970). After earning critical acclaim, she left acting to live with musician Neil Young.
