Caryn Ward Ross (née Ward) is an American actress, dancer, choreographer, and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, Ward attended Howard University where she graduated with a degree in psychology. She also studied dance at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City and performed with renowned artists such as Janet Jackson, Arsenio Hall, and Rosie Perez. Ward began her acting career as a child in the 1980s, appearing in the musical-dance drama series Fame. She later appeared in shows like Webster, Paradise, and Family Matters. After a ten-year break, Ward returned to acting in the 2000s, making appearances in popular shows such as Friends, Strong Medicine, The Shield, and Lincoln Heights. She also made her movie debut in the thriller Motives in 2004.
