Cat Deeley, born Catherine Elizabeth Deeley on October 23, 1976, is an English television presenter and actress. Deeley gained recognition as the co-presenter of the ITV children's show SMTV Live from 1998 to 2002, earning her a BAFTA Children's Award. She also co-hosted the spin-off chart show CD:UK from 1998 to 2005. In 2003, Deeley presented the talent competition show Fame Academy on BBC One and served as the presenter of the ITV talent show Stars in Their Eyes until 2005. From 2006 onwards, she has been the host of the popular American dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance, earning five Primetime Emmy nominations for her role. Deeley is also a patron of London's Great Ormond Street Hospital and a UNICEF UK ambassador.
