Catherine Mary Stewart

Catherine Mary Stewart (born April 22, 1959) is a Canadian actress known for her roles in various films and television shows. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, she grew up in an academic household with both parents teaching at the University of Alberta. Stewart attended Strathcona Composite High School before moving to London to study dance and performing arts. During her time there, she auditioned for her first film, The Apple, a musical science fiction cult classic. It was during this production that she changed her name from Mary Nursall to Catherine Mary Stewart. Some of her most notable film roles include appearances in Night of the Comet, The Last Starfighter, and Weekend at Bernie's. She also played the original Kayla Brady in the soap opera Days of Our Lives.
