Catherine McKevitt Murphy, born on 7 August 1967, is a British actress known for her roles in various television shows. She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School before starting her acting career. Murphy gained recognition for her portrayal of Tilly Watkins in the BBC drama The House of Eliott from 1991 to 1994. She also appeared as Cheryl Barker in the Channel 5 soap opera Family Affairs from 2003 to 2004 and as Julie Perkins in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2010 to 2011. In EastEnders, she initially played the role of Lorna in 1991 and returned in 2005 as Trisha Taylor. Murphy's performances have been well-received by audiences.
