Celia Imrie is an English actress and author, born on July 15, 1952, in Guildford, Surrey. Known for her versatile film roles, Imrie has appeared in popular movies such as the Bridget Jones film series, Calendar Girls (2003), Nanny McPhee (2005), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011), and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018). She has also made notable TV appearances, prominently in the FX series Better Things (2016-2022). In the United Kingdom, Imrie is recognized for her collaborations with Victoria Wood, including Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV (1985–1987) and the sitcom dinnerladies (1998–2000).
