In the 1970s, she gained fame as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus. Known as the 'Queen of Funk,' Khan made history as the first R&B artist to achieve a crossover hit featuring a rapper with her 1984 song 'I Feel for You.' Throughout her career, she has garnered ten Grammy Awards. With Rufus, Khan achieved four gold singles, four gold albums, and two platinum albums. As a solo artist, she obtained three gold singles, three gold albums, and one platinum album, including the hit 'I Feel for You.' Khan has collaborated with numerous acclaimed artists such as Steve Winwood, Ry Cooder, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, and Mary J. Blige.
