Challen Michelle Cates, born on September 28, 1967, is an American independent film producer and actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Jennifer Knight in the TV series Big Time Rush. Cates has been the executive producer of two American independent films, A Fare To Remember (1998) and The A-List (2001), in which she also played the main character. In 2004, she had the lead female role in the independent movie They Would Love You In France. Throughout her career, Cates has appeared in minor roles in various American television series such as Cybill, Roseanne, Diagnosis: Murder, and Criminal Minds. She had a recurring role in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush and has appeared in several Big Time Rush movies.
