Chaney Kley Minnis (August 20, 1972 – July 24, 2007) was an American actor best known for his recurring role as Officer Asher on the FX drama The Shield and as the lead in the horror movie Darkness Falls. Born in Manassas, Virginia, on August 20, 1972, Kley was raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Colorado, where he earned a BFA in drama. Kley began his career as a stage actor in Chicago and won a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor. He made his television debut in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and his film debut in Legally Blonde. Kley's notable movie role was portraying Kyle Walsh in Darkness Falls.
