Charithra Surya Chandran, born on January 17, 1997, is a British actress known for her roles in the Amazon spy thriller series Alex Rider (2021) and the Netflix period drama Bridgerton (2022). Born in Perth, Scotland, to a Tamil Indian family, Chandran spent her early years in India before returning to the UK. She attended school in Liverpool and later boarded at Moreton Hall Preparatory School in Shropshire. Chandran completed her education at Oxford High School and graduated from New College, Oxford, in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She also participated in various productions during her time at university and joined the National Youth Theatre.
