Charlayne Woodard (born December 29, 1953) is an American playwright and actress known for her work in theater, film, and television. She has received two Obie Awards and has been nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award. Woodard gained widespread recognition for her role as a series regular on the hit FX TV series Pose. She also portrayed the title role in the Showtime movie Run For The Dream: The Gail Devers’ Story and made history as the first black Cinderella on TV or film in the ABC Movie of the Week. Woodard is currently appearing in Marvel Studios' miniseries Secret Invasion as Priscilla Fury. She began her professional career in 1976 and has since established herself as a talented and versatile performer.
