Charles Barkley, born on February 20, 1963, is an American former professional basketball player and current television analyst on TNT and CBS Sports. Known by nicknames such as 'Sir Charles,' 'Chuck,' and 'the Round Mound of Rebound,' Barkley played 16 seasons in the NBA for three teams. Despite being shorter than the typical power forward, he utilized his strength and aggressiveness to become one of the league's most dominant rebounders. Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star, 11-time member of the All-NBA Team, and the recipient of the 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player award. He is also recognized for his inclusion in the NBA's 50th and 75th anniversary teams. Prior to his professional career, Barkley excelled as an All-American power forward at Auburn University.
