    Charles John O'Donnell (August 12, 1932 – November 1, 2010) was an American radio and television announcer, best known for his work on game shows. He gained recognition as the announcer for Wheel of Fortune from 1975 to 1980, and again from 1989 until his death. O'Donnell also announced for American Bandstand. Beginning his career at a young age in Pennsylvania, he worked at various radio stations before becoming the sidekick of Dick Clark on American Bandstand. He later worked as a disc jockey in Los Angeles and as a news anchorman and staff announcer on KCAL-TV. O'Donnell's contributions to the entertainment industry were significant and memorable.
