Charlotte Ayanna

Charlotte Ayanna (born Charlotte Lopez on September 25, 1976) is a Puerto Rican-American actress, author, and beauty queen. She gained national attention in 1993 when she won the Miss Teen USA pageant. Ayanna was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and later moved to Vermont. After a troubled childhood, she spent sixteen years in foster homes before being adopted at age 17. Ayanna has since become a spokesperson for foster children. In addition to her pageant success, she co-authored a book called 'Lost in the System' in 1996, sharing her experiences growing up. Ayanna has made guest appearances on TV shows like 'Weird Science' and 'Entourage,' and appeared in the music video of a fellow Puerto Rican artist.
