Charlotte Church is a Welsh singer-songwriter, actress, television presenter, and political activist. Born on 21 February 1986 in Cardiff, Wales, Church rose to fame as a classical singer in her childhood before transitioning to pop music in 2005. She has sold over 10 million records worldwide, including 5 million in the United States. Church hosted the Channel 4 chat show, The Charlotte Church Show. In 2010, she released her album Back to Scratch. Alongside her musical career, Church has been actively involved in political activism, supporting the Labour party and Plaid Cymru in Welsh elections. She is recognized for her soprano voice.
