Born on May 29, 1976, she comes from an acting family with her mother being actress Susan Travers and her grandmother being actress Linden Travers. Lucas attended Birmingham University for drama and theatre studies before completing her studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. She is most recognized for her portrayal of Dr Kingsley in the TV show Not Going Out, Yvonne in EastEnders, and Selena Geeson in Bad Girls.
