Charlyne Amanda Yi (born January 4, 1986) is an American actor, comedian, musician, and writer. They gained recognition for their screenwriting debut, Paper Heart, which won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Yi is known for their role as Dr. Chi Park on the Fox medical drama House and for their voice work in animated series such as Steven Universe, We Bare Bears, and Summer Camp Island. They have showcased their talents in music, magic, and games, often involving audience participation. Yi, of Filipino, Mexican, and Korean descent, was raised in Fontana, California, and discovered their passion for performing while attending Bloomington High School before pursuing a career in comedy.
