Charmian May

Charmian Rosemary May (16 June 1937 – 24 October 2002) was an English character actress known for her television and film roles. She appeared in popular sitcoms like The Good Life and Keeping Up Appearances, as well as in the film Bridget Jones's Diary. May also had notable appearances in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, The Worst Witch, Weirdsister College, and You're Only Young Twice. Her stage work included the original production of 84, Charing Cross Road and a touring production of The Importance of Being Earnest. May passed away from cancer on 24 October 2002 at the age of 65.
