He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 16 seasons, primarily for the Philadelphia Phillies and also for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Utley was a six-time All-Star and was a key player in the Phillies' 2008 World Series win. Known for his versatility, Utley also spent time at first base. He was regarded as one of the best middle-infield combinations in the National League alongside shortstop Jimmy Rollins.
