Chelsea Hayes

Chelsea Alicia Hayes (born February 9, 1988) is an American track and field athlete known for her prowess in the long jump and 100-meter dash. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Hayes attended Marion Abramson Senior High School where she excelled in basketball and track and field. In 2012, she achieved great success, finishing as the runner-up at the NCAA Indoor Championship in long jump and earning a third-place finish at the Outdoor Championships. She also represented the United States at the 2012 Olympics, becoming the first track and field athlete from Louisiana Tech to do so. With her personal records of and 11.15 seconds in the long jump and 100-meter dash respectively, Hayes continues to be a prominent figure in the sport.
