Cherie Mary Lunghi is an English film, television, theatre actress, and voice-over artist. She was born on April 4, 1952, in Nottingham. Lunghi gained international recognition for her role as Guinevere in the 1981 film Excalibur. She has appeared in numerous British dramas and has a diverse range of screen, stage, and television credits. In the 1990s, Lunghi portrayed football manager Gabriella Benson in the TV series The Manageress and featured in Kenco coffee advertisements. Additionally, she competed in the 2008 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Lunghi is also known for her portrayal of various characters on stage. She is the mother of actress Nathalie Lunghi and was raised by her mother, aunt, and grandmother, with occasional contact with her Italian father, Alessandro Lunghi.
