Cheryl Tiegs

Cheryl Tiegs is an American model and fashion designer, born on September 25, 1947, in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She is often referred to as America's first supermodel and gained prominence for her appearances on the covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Time magazine. Tiegs became an iconic figure of 1970s pop culture with her 1978 'Pink Bikini' poster. She hails from a German descent and grew up in Alhambra, California. Tiegs started her modeling career after posing for a swimsuit ad for Cole of California, which led to her breakthrough at the age of 17. In addition to her modeling career, she also pursued fashion design.
