Chet Anekwe is a Nigerian-born actor and filmmaker who was raised in New York City. He has worked in Hollywood, Nollywood, and the New York Theater. Throughout his career, Chet has received recognition for his performances, including being nominated for the 1997 AUDELCO award for Best Performance in a Musical for 'Chap Am So (The Amistad Story)'. He won the 2006 'VIV' AUDELCO Award for Best Ensemble in 'Real Black Men Don't Sit Crossed Legged on the Floor (Collage in blues)'. Chet also won the 2011 Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards (NAFCA) for Best Actor in a Supporting Role - Diaspora for 'Paparazzi' and the 2012 NAFCA for Best Actor - Diaspora for 'Unwanted Guest'.
